Wishes and Woes

Well James made me go to Chilis for my dinner last night and I was thinking, "Yeah b/c we don't go there all the time" (FYI: for those of you who don't know, James works there) Well we get there and the hostess says "We have a table for you" As we turn the corner some of my friends are there and they tell me happy B-Day. Of course some of them were late but at least I know James went to the trouble to plan this. All and all it was a good B-Day. I guess I can forgive him for having it at Chilis.

Back to work again today. Same old, same old. Can't wait until next weekend when we go to San Antonio for Seth's (James' nephew) 5th B-day. He is so cute and I can't wait to get out of Dallas for a few days.

  • Hmm. Mr. Chile said "That kid is the man!" There is something weird that he can say such a strange statement, and yet there is no confusion about the meaning.

I am glad you got a nice little b-day surprise. Hopefully, he also got a little employee discount, eh? Wink, wink, nudge, nudge.

Say hi to the Wheeler family for us, too. That family is the man. Oo. I guess it sounded better when Chile said it.

  • I remember when we first started using "the man". My mom got confused about it, but then after we explained the meaning, she started saying it, too. Now that's funny! :)

Have fun in San Antonio! I hear that place is awesome!

  • Happy late birthday Alison! I have something for you and James, but I don't have your address. If you'll send it to me, you may receive a surprise in the mail!
