This week

So Tuesday was my one year at my job. I was kind of excited. I had a review with my 2 supervisors and things went well. I have some things to work on but who doesn't. Otherwise it was another week.

This Saturday I am doing the Race for A Cure 5K with a group of people from work. I am so excited, I have never done anything like this before. I have heard it is a great time and tons of women there walking for a great cause. Now I know to Katie this would seem like another day running but I have enough trouble making myself do 45 min of cardio everyday. I really am not a fan of exercise but I know for my health I need to. My friends at work wanted me to do this so much that one of them paid for me. Now it was only $5 for us since Honda has so many people doing it but that was still nice.

Poor James, so busy and he is stuck with a wife who doesn't even know how to cook. The other day I heated up a lasagna so that he could eat leftovers when he got home at 10pm and he comes home with fast food. I guess what really matters is that he knows I am trying. For all of you cookers out there, any suggestions on good easy cookbooks for me. I truly have no idea how to cook but I think it would help us both out if I did.

  • Right on! You should have fun with the 5K!! :) Just don't forget to stretch out good when you're finished, even just walking it, that far can make you so sore the next day!
As far as cooking-my husband does it more often than I do. But there is a cookbook of easy meals to make using Campbell's soup, and those are pretty tasty!
Congrats on your one year work anniversary. What do you do again?

  • I like the Better Homes and Gardens red checked cookbook. You can even get it at Walmart. The recipes are easy and it has alot of basics such as spaghetti or one of our favorites cranberry sauced porkchops. You will be cooking in no time!
