Implants???

We had a wonderful time in Disneyworld. Of course we did both get food poisoning for about 12 hours but we didn't let it ruin our trip. We got to do everything we wanted to and ride our favorites a few more times. The weather was warmer then I was expecting but it was a lot cooler than last summer and a lot less crowded.

Now, on to the title of my post. Yes, I am most likely getting an implant, but not where most people do. I am getting a tooth implant. One of my pre-molars doesn't have an adult tooth under it, and I still have that baby tooth. I am getting that removed today because it has started to give me some pain. I went to see an oral surgeon yesterday about getting an implant. It was a little more than I wanted to spend, but it is my only real option. If you want to see what I am taking about, you can check out his website. www.texaswisdom.com. Go to the services section and then click on "are implants right for you." It is not for the faint of heart, though. My, I am really nervous, but I won't have it for about 8-10 weeks so that the area can heal. It is about a 6 month process. Please pray for us during this time not only for the surgery, but also for the financial portion. I should know in about 3 weeks if my insurance covers it.

  • I'm glad you got to go to Disneyworld! We would really like to go again. (Well, to DisneyLAND anyway.) We'll be praying about your surgery.

  • Sounds painful. That's a bummer about Disneyworld.

  • Ali, Grandad told me about your call the other day. I was just sitting there reading, and he talked, and I could hear him say your name, but you got home before I got to talk. Next time, my time!! He told me about the tooth and we are praying for you. Be sure to let us know the exact date. We love you. COG

  • We have never been to Disneyworld. Maybe when we decide to go, you can give us some pointers!

  • Hi, Ali. Thought I would update my comment! We are so glad you and James will be here with us for Thanksgiving. We will have so much time. My only complaint is that when that many are here, I have trouble getting around to a visit with all of you!! Well, we will do what we can, and enjoy every moment!! COG
