Holiday's are coming

With the Holiday's coming up there is so much to do. Shopping, shopping oh yeah more shopping. Ok so I really don't do much for the holiday's except go to James' house. I was hoping to have Christmas with my parents but my Uncle Jim and Aunt Sue are going to California to see their G-kids. I am still trying to convince my parents to come to San Antonio for Christmas and we can have a big family Christmas.

Of course I could always try to win the lottery and then this wouldn't even be a problem. James and I could fly home for Thanksgiving and then go to his house for Christmas. Either way I know I'll get to home soon if just may not be before Kyle and Lyndsay's little one comes.

I did get moved to a new group this yesterday at work. My supervisor adv me that starting next week I will now move the National Call Group, which means I deal with Acura customers from all 50 states. It is kind of a promotion only in the sense that I will be dealing with all states instead of the 8 I normally deal with. I am excited to prove that I can do great things with any job I am giving. Just pray that things go well b/c my job depends on it.

Well that's about it for this week. Maybe I will have more to talk about next week!!!

Cars, money, work!!!!

So Saturday didn't quite turn out how I planned it. I started having car problems and it had to go to the shop. My ride feel thru to the 5K and of course James had to work to he could take me but not pick me up. I guess it wasn't meant to be. At least my car is fixed and it didn't quite break the bank. I guess that's why we have credits cards.

For those of you who do not know I work for Honda Financial Services. I work in a call center and deal with customers whose leases are 6 months or less from their turn in date. Basically talk on the phone all day. I guess most would say it is the perfect job for me, I get paid to talk!

This week has been pretty boring again. Same old, same old. Maybe I'll have more to write about another day.

This week

So Tuesday was my one year at my job. I was kind of excited. I had a review with my 2 supervisors and things went well. I have some things to work on but who doesn't. Otherwise it was another week.

This Saturday I am doing the Race for A Cure 5K with a group of people from work. I am so excited, I have never done anything like this before. I have heard it is a great time and tons of women there walking for a great cause. Now I know to Katie this would seem like another day running but I have enough trouble making myself do 45 min of cardio everyday. I really am not a fan of exercise but I know for my health I need to. My friends at work wanted me to do this so much that one of them paid for me. Now it was only $5 for us since Honda has so many people doing it but that was still nice.

Poor James, so busy and he is stuck with a wife who doesn't even know how to cook. The other day I heated up a lasagna so that he could eat leftovers when he got home at 10pm and he comes home with fast food. I guess what really matters is that he knows I am trying. For all of you cookers out there, any suggestions on good easy cookbooks for me. I truly have no idea how to cook but I think it would help us both out if I did.

What Now!!!

Ok so I have had a very boring week. Work was so dull!!! Not really much to talk about. James and I have had a nice easy weekend for once, which is good. Sometimes it feels like the only time we see each other is on the weekends. Poor guy he works two jobs (45 hours a week) and is a full time student. He makes me seem lazy. Well I guess thats it maybe I'll have more to say later.

Oh yeah, I am so jealous of my parents!!!! I never get to go on vacation!!1

Texas, a Foreign Country?

So I went to go get my drivers license yesterday before we left for San Antonio. I went to one of the worst parts of Arlington and went into this room that was the size of our apartment. I was given the # 44 and then looked at the counter and saw that it was at 8. I thought, "Man, I am in for a long afternoon". After about an hour my # was called and I went around the half partition wall. I then went to a counter where she took my SS card, marriage license and AZ license. She looked at my form and then at me and just started typing. Out of nowhere, she says "2014", I just looked at her with bewilderment on my face and she then says, "Your apartment #". I then agreed with her and she kept typing. She then asked me to stand behind the line and to smile. I took the dreaded DL picture. YUCK!!!! I do not want to see that. She then had me sign and then typed some more. Lastly she handed me this piece of paper and told me I would receive my license in 3-4 weeks.

Now that may not seem strange to some of you, but my AZ fam can tell you it is a little more organized there. Also, we get our license less then 5 min after the pic is taken. I just felt like I was back in Guad and I didn't speak the same language as the people.

Anyway, we are now in San Antonio getting everything ready for Seth's party.
